Dr. Peter Schiele studied computer science with a focus on theoretical computer science. He joined BMW in 2001 and had several positions in software and electronic engineering for body and driver assistance systems as well as electrical powertrain. Since 2016, Mr. Schiele has been working for autonomous driving as project lead and now as senior manager for software development at BMW.
Autonomous Driving is one of the biggest challenge of our times. The complexity of traffic situations and appropriate action and reaction to those needs the as well classical approaches as new approaches from machine learning. I am passionate about bringing these approaches to live in products and change the daily traffic by the technology of autonomous driving.
